Every alternative year each class develops a small show to present to family and friends during their normal class time. These presentations alternate with our big whole school show (see below for info on last years show). Our biannual presentations give every student the opportunity to perform solo or in small groups allowing them to have greater creative input into their acts and to perform in a more intimate environment. This years presentations will be held during Term 4 2016.
Saturday 7th Nov & Sunday 8th Nov 2015 @ 6:30pm for a 7pm start
At Maleny High School Activity Centre, 50 Bunya Street, Maleny

Sylph Circus aim to inspire students and audiences through the creation of innovative performance works presented at local and surrounding community events. With a strong performance focus, Sylph Circus also strive to present a major show event each year.
Circus Troupe Performance
2014 saw the debut of the Sylph Circus Performance Troupe, a collective of highly dedicated young people with commitment and focus who work as an ensemble to develop acts for public events. The Performance Troupe’s current show “Limbo: A Refugee Story” is a touching 30min circus theatre performance inspired by the plight of refugees and assylum seekers in Australia. See the Sylph Circus Performance Troupe page for more information about their shows or contact us to enquire about bookings for public events.
Every second year all Sylph Circus students are invited to participate in and all-inclusive large scale show held on our home ground in the MIAC Hall. Every other year, in-class presentations offer students a platform to showcase their skills to an intimate audience of family and friends.
“The Legend of Mayura”, our student show in December 2013 was a huge success in Maleny. Here’s what some non-parent audience members thought of the show:
“Wow! What an amazing production! The performers were so skilled and expressive, the set was sumptuous and the story captivating!” Tamara Taylor (Dancer)
“Good writing, great performances!” Jeff Turpin (Circus Performer)
“It was a treat and a triumph! The style somewhere between Bollywood, Siegfelds Follies and Cirque Du Soleil” Kerry Laizans (Shamanic Practitioner)
