Our trainers have had years of experience in circus aerial training and we strive to continually improve our technical knowledge and approach. We make every effort to cultivate self-belief and imagination in young people through the teaching of circus arts. Our passion for circus is infectious!
Cindy Darabi – Founder and Principal Trainer
Aerialist Cindy Darabi is Sylph Circus’ founder and main circus trainer. Determined to let her passion for circus and creativity guide her, Cindy has worked hard to develop a school that allows her to utilise her creative talents and love of aerials in order to cultivate imagination and enthusiasm among young people. Cindy began training in circus aerials in Scotland, 2006 and later received majority of her early training from Vulcana Women’s Circus in Brisbane for whom she has also worked as a trainer. Cindy also has a Masters in Performing Arts.
Tess Markwort – Trainer

Special Guest Trainers
Sylph Circus call upon the wider circus community, inviting special guest trainers to run workshops in either aerials, tumbling, acro balance, hand standing, dance, theatre and/or manipulation (juggling and hula hoops) so that our students have access to diverse skills and styles. Some of our special guest trainers have included Natano Faanana, Rachael Gibson, Bianca Mackail, Emma Aitchison, Nirvana Pilkington, Anna Yen, Jeff Turpin, Claire Ogden, Shani Stephens and Benton Adams.
