SUMMER PROGRAM – TERM 1 2021
Sylph Circus classes are currently operating under a covid safe plan at the Maleny High School Hall, 50 Bunya Street Maleny.
Adult Classes
ADULT CLASS
Build core strength and flexibility the fun way! Develop your handstands on the floor, and skills in the air as you explore circus aerials such as static trapeze, silks, lyra or teardrop. Our aerials preparation program let’s you develop at your own pace. Adults who have children in our Litt’lies class also have access to our child minding service (for an additional fee) so that both of you can enjoy circus.
Senior Classes
WEDNESDAY TEEN CLASS
5:30pm to 7pm
Wed 3 Feb to Wed 31 Mar – 9 weeks
Term price: $225
Teen’s train on aerial apparatus (silks, static trapeze, lyra or teardrop) and develop acrobatic skills to increase agility, strength and flexibility. Beginner to Intermediate students engage in physical theatre to work towards a performance for family and friends. Intermediate to Advanced participants train with a strong focus on devising work for public performance projects and events.
Junior Classes
WEDNESDAY JUNIOR CLASS
4pm to 5.30pm
Wed 3 Feb to Wed 31 Mar – 9 weeks
Term price: $225
Junior Sylphs’ train in the air and on the ground to develop skills in acrobatics and circus aerials (silks, static trapeze, lyra or teardrop). Beginner to intermediate students engage in physical theatre to work towards performances for family and friends.
Littl’ies Classes
LITTL’IES CLASS
Little Sylph’s engage in imaginative circus play both on the ground and in the air (on an aerial hammock) to develop skills in coordination and body awareness with support. Parents of our Littl’ies students who enroll in the follow-on adult aerial class have access to our child minding service for an additional fee.
